Design Features:
• Pressure Sealed Bonnet Design
Sealing performance improves with increasing pressure differential.
• Automatic Control
Requires no external power – operates automatically based on flow direction.
• High-Pressure Resistance
Withstands high pressure/temperature environments, suitable for medium-high pressure applications.
What is a Pressure Sealed Bonnet Check Valves: Automatic Sealing Through Pressure Differential
A pressure sealed bonnet check valve automatically achieves sealing through media pressure differential, integrating the automatic closing function of check valves with the enhanced sealing characteristics of self-sealing structures.
1. Structural Features
Typically composed of valve body, seat, and disc. Common body materials include cast iron, carbon steel, or stainless steel. Discs use metal/non-metallic materials with spherical or disc shapes to ensure flexible operation under various conditions.
2. Working Principle
• Forward Flow
Media pressure pushes the disc open for unobstructed fluid passage.
• Reverse Flow
Backflow forces rapid disc closure by combined media pressure and gravity, while sealing mechanisms enhance effectiveness under pressure to prevent reverse flow.
3. Industrial Applications
• Petrochemical Industry
Applications: Controls unidirectional flow of crude oil, natural gas, and corrosive chemicals under high pressure (up to Class 2500, 42MPa), preventing backflow accidents.
Scenarios: Refining units, storage tank pipelines requiring high-temperature (800°C) and high-pressure resistance.
• Power Systems
Applications: Boiler feedwater systems and steam turbine condensate loops ensuring unidirectional steam flow.
Features: Swing-type design minimizes water hammer during frequent starts/stops and high-velocity flows.
• Metallurgical Industry
Applications: Prevents backflow accidents in molten metal or high-pressure gas pipelines.
Material Requirements: Stainless steel/alloy steel bodies for corrosion and heat resistance.
• Extreme Conditions
High Pressure/Temperature: Forged steel bodies in nuclear power/deep-sea pipelines
Corrosive Media: PTFE-coated discs for chemical waste treatment systems.
